Meghan Markle's Family Continue To Exploit Her For Money And Attention While Drawing Bad Publicity For The Duchess

November 14. 2019

Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle, who is the Duchess of Sussex, 38, continues to face tell-alls from her family. Previously, her sister Samantha and brother Thomas Markle Jr, gave the press paid tell-all interviews in the lead up to her widely watched wedding to Britain's Prince Harry, who is the Duke of Sussex. Samantha Markle has even written a mean and unflattering book about Meghan.

Now Meghan's 80-year-old uncle, Mike Markle, a former U.S. diplomat, has joined the media circus. The Daily Mail newspaper stated, "Speaking from his modest trailer-park home in central Florida, he told DailyMail.com: 'I doubt I'll hear from her again...even though I would like to.' 'I don't understand her, the way she's treated her family. I'm not very fond of it.'"

He also stated, "'I've done more for her than others… I've probably done more for her than most have. I personally talked to the ambassador in Argentina for her,' he said at the time. 'I thought I would [get an invitation], but anyhow, I didn't hear from her.'"

Archie, Meghan and Harry

Meghan fell out with her dad's side of the family, as they kept telling the press private details of the family's history and moments that were difficult for her to deal with growing up. Meghan's dad even sold photos and a story to the press, which upset the royal family.

A letter Meghan sent her dad years ago also ended up in the press, for which Prince Harry has sued two newspapers for invasion of privacy and copyright infringement (Prince Harry Files Lawsuit Against Rupert Murdoch Sun Newspaper For Phone Hacking). In the international community, a copyright is established the moment one authors an item and does not need to be registered with an agency, which is in accordance in WIPO rules enacted by the United Nations.

Where Meghan has stopped communicating with her dad's side of the family due to the tell-alls, which the press used to pulverize her into an emotional breakdown, she still speaks to her mother who has kept mum. Meghan's mother Doria Ragland has kept a dignified silence.
