Miffed Mariah Carey Snaps At British Television Host And Asks 'Are You Mocking Me?'

December 13. 2019

Recently, a poll was conducted in Britain and singer Mariah Carey's 25-year-old tune "All I Want For Christmas Is You" was voted the worst Christmas song in music history (Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas' Voted Most Annoying Christmas Song In Britain).

Mariah Carey got angry on Britain's "This Morning"

Carey, who loves taking over each Christmas holiday with many appearances, performances and concert dates in America and abroad, took it very badly. After all, she is a woman who keeps her Christmas tree up year-round. Not to mention, her career is in the toilet and has been for the past 5-years, so she looks forward to the holidays reviving her career (Mariah Carey Labeled Crazy For Leaving Her Christmas Tree And Decorations Up Year Round).

Alison Hammond sang to Carey and imitated her hand movements. The poor host was surprised at Carey's reaction, as it really did appear she was not making fun of the singer, but more poking fun of her own singing skills as a television personality.

This week, Carey sat down for an interview with British personality Alison Hammond. Things went wrong when Hammond began singing a Christmas tune. While singing she began waving one of her hands in the air, much in the manner Carey does on stage. Carey also likes to stick her finger in one of her ears. It doesn't help the music or her singing, but hey...

Carey, already miffed from Britons basically stating her Christmas song sucks, slightly snapped at Hammond stating, "Are you mocking me, after I made this card for you and everything?" Carey was very touchy in what became an awkward interview. Carey is confirmed bipolar and she has some traits of schizophrenia, which can be accompanied by paranoia. This interview didn't help her paranoia.

'Are you mocking me?' Mariah Carey accuses Alison Hammond of poking fun at her after the presenter belted out a Christmas song mid-interview

Published: 10:10 EST, 12 December 2019 | Updated: 11:33 EST, 12 December 2019 - Mariah Carely awkwardly accused Alison Hammond of 'mocking' her after the TV presenter belted out a Christmas song during a This Morning interview on Thursday.

The British television personality, 44, attempted to impress the pop icon by flaunting her vocals during their chat however the singer appeared less than impressed. Alison rushed to reassure Mariah that she definitely wasn't poking fun at her and laughed awkwardly in a bid to smooth things over between the pair.

Attempting to brush over the awkward moment, Alison asked Mariah what she thought of the performance and the songstress replied: 'It's fabulous, but you need to add an 'to you' to it.' Some viewers picked up on the tense moment and took to Twitter to express their joy at the 'iconic' moment between the two stars.

One said: 'Alison Hammond singing 'Merry Christmas' infront of Mariah Carey and Mariah saying 'Are you mocking me?' is iconic #thismorning.' Another added: 'Then Alison mocking how Mariah sings. What a treat. #ThisMorning.' Someone else said: 'Alison Hammond needs to NOT sing in front of mariah carey like that #thismorningChris.' A viewer added: 'Are you mocking me Alison? Well yes Mariah she is lol #ThisMorning.'...
