Gerald Imes, the brother of Oscar winning actress and late nigh talk show host, Mo'Nique, has admitted to molesting her for years when she was a teen. Imes stated he was also the victim of molestation regarding someone else.

These revelations were made on The Oprah Winfrey Show, with the host herself previously claiming to have been molested by her step-uncle. Families are often in denial regarding molestation and incest, as who wants to believe something so terrible transpired. However, families must find the truth in these matters and seek assistance for their loved ones.

Gerald Imes, the brother of Oscar-winning actress Mo’Nique, admitted on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show that he molested the Precious star when they were young, reports the Associated Press. Imes, who appeared on the program today, said the sexual abuse started when he was 13 and when Mo’Nique was 7 or 8, and continued for over a year. “I abused and betrayed the trust of another sibling, my sister, my blood sister,” he said before apologizing to the actress: “I’m sorry, Mo’Nique. I’m sorry.”...
