Nicki Minaj Slams BET Over Tweet On Twitter

BET's tweet about Nicki Minaj and Cardi B Grammy rivalry

This past weekend, rapper Nick Minaj, became acutely aware of the fact her top rival, Cardi B, won a Grammy while she does not possess one in her trophy cabinet. Cardi B’s fans on social networking laughed at Minaj. The rapper’s ex-boyfriend, Safaree, whom she stabbed and sent to the hospital, even congratulated Cardi, but not in a manner disrespectful to Minaj.

Observing the numerous comments, the BET network tweeted from it’s official Twitter account, “Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is being dragged by her lacefront.” Minaj read the statement and became incensed. She took to Twitter to tweet that she and her fellow Young Money artists will not be appearing at forthcoming BET Awards shows.

Minaj also posted the photo of the BET employee who made the tweet, in an effort to get her fans to attack the woman. She did not have to do so. BET issued a follow up tweet apologizing to Minaj. She needs to be careful boycotting BET, as they could do the same by not promoting her future projects. BET could also give awards to her rival Cardi, leaving her without trophies at their award ceremonies.
