Obama Appoints Bill Richardson SOC

December 3. 2008

After Hillary and Bill Clinton gave Bill Richardson the evil eye and put him on their hit list, for dropping Hillary and endorsing Barack Obama for president a few months ago, the nation feared for his safety via Bubba doing a drive by. Hillary was so angry they called Richardson a turncoat and Judas.

But today, Richardson is alive and well and has been rewarded by Obama, who has appointed him Secretary Of Commerce.

Personally, I’d have preferred Richardson as Secretary Of State instead of Hillary, but considering Clinton hasn’t paid off her campaign debts, maybe it's safer she doesn’t go near the money as SOC (smirk).

Obama picks Bill Richardson as Commerce secretary

The president-elect says the New Mexico governor will be a 'key strategist on all the issues we work on.' The former Energy secretary and U.N. envoy is the first Latino named to the new Cabinet.

President-elect Barack Obama this morning named New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson to serve as secretary of Commerce in his Cabinet, saying Richardson would be "a key member of my economic team."

Obama said Richardson's "mixture of diplomatic experience, hands-on experience as a governor, experience in the Cabinet, experience in Congress ... means he is going to be a key strategist on all the issues we work on."

Richardson, who grew up in both the U.S. and in Mexico, is a former secretary of Energy, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and congressman from New Mexico.
