According to a People magazine article, presidential candidate, Barack Obama, gives his children $1 each per week as an allowance.

I think it's great that you are teaching them discipline, but cut the kids some slack and give them a little more. Do I hear $2 per week. "YES YOU CAN!" You sold all those books.

What if they want to go "balling" at the mall, like every other rap song, what are they going to do with $1. That can't even buy a gallon of gas. Oh wait, that's right, they don't drive yet. Never mind (I'm just kidding).

I didn't get the controversy that sprang up surrounding Obama's children doing an interview on television. Some griped they are too young, while others claimed exploitation. It was a harmless interview and they handled it just fine.

McCain's children ought to be able to do interviews as well. The country is electing a president, therefore people should get to know the potential first family.
