Democratic presidential nominee, Barack Obama, today teased rival, Republican, John McCain, for admonishing Americans to remember to fill their tires with air, as a gas saving measure and for being a continuation of George W. Bush's policies.

However, the Obama team missed a golden opportunity in their McCain ad titled "The Original Maverick" to add shots of John McCain interspersed with stills of Tom Cruise from the film Top Gun as "Maverick" - then roll into footage of him jumping up and down on the couch on the Oprah Winfrey show. It would have been funny associating McCain with Cruise, whose character in the film was also a U.S. pilot.
