Obama Rep: We're Not Afraid Of A Guy With A Laptop

December 1. 2010

What would honest Abe say? (Pictured above is Barack Obama standing next to a bust of Abraham Lincoln)

Robert Gibbs, the spokesman of U.S. President Barack Obama, cockily stated today regarding Wikileaks founder, Julian Assange, "We're not afraid of a guy with a laptop." Considering considerable evidence has been presented via Assange's leak of classified documents, clearly illustrating the Obama Administration is breaking domestic and international law, you should be.

Pretty it up any way you'd like, voters are not happy these crimes are being committed in their name. The American people never asked for this. They elected you and Congress to work to provide better homes, schools, jobs and education for the nation. All this vainglorious, self-serving, ego-stroking arrogance, contained in the leaked diplomatic cables are verbose, cruel and irrelevant to the task at hand, which is making America better and establishing productive world ties.

Robert Gibbs

You continually condemn Assange for holding up a mirror in front of you, missing the entire point. You are breaking laws you swore to uphold. You are engaging in never-ending wars that are killing off more civilians than terrorists. You are wasting taxpayer money gossiping at the State Department. You are invading the privacy of numerous people at the taxpayers expense. You are making it difficult for hardworking, honest, decent Americans to hold their heads up in the international community, with the caustic foolishness you are doing in the world on a government level. That is the issue at hand.

Furthermore, threatening to assassinate Assange over some documents is inhumane and un-American. The Pentagon cooking up a trumped up rape case against him was also dishonorable. It is not distracting people from what they have read in the cables. The government needs to stop taking the low road so often, because if they go any lower they shall graze hell.

Obama’s Spokesman: We’re Not Scared of One Guy With A Laptop

Wednesday, December 01, 2010 - (CNSNews.com) - President Obama has not commented on the Wikileaks document dump that has, at the very least, embarrassed the United States, angered many Americans, and caused U.S. allies to question if the U.S. can be trusted to keep secrets. On Wednesday, Obama’s spokesman dismissed the leak of diplomatic secrets as no big deal, although others have said it may put American lives in danger.

"We should never be afraid of one guy who plopped down $35 and bought a Web address," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told Fox & Friends. "Our foreign policy is stronger than that; we're a stronger country than that. We're not scared of one guy with one keyboard and a laptop."...
