Obama Says Lay Off Sarah Palin's Daughter

September 2. 2008

Democratic presidential nominee, Barack Obama, wants journalists to lay off governor Sarah Palin’s unwed, pregnant, 17-year-old daughter, Bristol. But there's a flaw in Obama’s plan…I’m not a journalist. That’s what happens when you let anyone have a website! (kidding).

Not everyone knew about McCain’s choice. The FBI was later than Bristol Palin (get the joke)…in vetting her mom for the post of Republican senator John McCain’s running mate for in the 2008 election.

Bristol Palin (right) and family

Sarah Palin has become the Republican Hillary Clinton, even using her message of, “Shatter that glass ceiling once and for all.” Looks like Hillary got cut by the glass ceiling.

Regarding Bristol Palin, she young and made a poor choice. God can forgive her, even if the world does not.

Palin And The FBI Background Check -- Updated

The Federal Bureau of Investigation did not participate in the vetting of Gov. Sarah Palin and did not conduct a background check as part of the process, an FBI spokesman said today.

The Washington Post reported Sunday, citing an interview with campaign manager Rick Davis, that the vetting process "included reviews of financial and other personal data, an FBI background check and considerable discussion among the handful of McCain advisers involved in the deliberations.

Obama on Palin

Politico's Carrie Budoff Brown reports: At a press avail in Monroe, Mich., Barack Obama on Palin: "Back off these kinds of stories."

"I have said before and I will repeat again: People's families are off limits," Obama said. "And people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president. So I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories. You know my mother had me when she was 18 and how a family deals with issues and teenage children, that shouldn’t be a topic of our politics."

On charges that his campaign has stoked the story via liberal blogs:

"I am offended by that statement. There is no evidence at all that any of this involved us," he said. "Our people were not involved in any way in this, and they will not be. And if I thought there was somebody in my campaign who was involved in something like that, they would be fired."
