ObamaCare Official States American Voters Are Stupid

November 14. 2014

Obama consultant Jonathan Gruber

MIT Professor, Jonathan Gruber, hired by U.S. President Barack Obama referred to "American voters" as "stupid" in the latest  scandal to hit the administration. Gruber really put his foot in it with these unwise statements that are now circulating the internet. Segments of the liberal media have been suppressing the story, but unsuccessfully so, as it aired on CNN to the Obama administration's embarrassment.

With a U.S. presidential election less than two years away, it was not a good idea for the Democrats, to have a high profile member of the Obama administration to call voters "stupid." High profile Democrat, Nancy Pelosi, is now denying even knowing who Gruber is, though she had previously publicly mentioned the professor.

CNN’s Stelter: Gruber Comments ‘Barely Heard’ Outside Conservative Media

3:21 pm, November 13th, 2014 - CNN media reporter Brian Stelter tackled the Jonathan Gruber story today and acknowledged that, with a few exceptions, the MIT professor’s comments about the “stupidity” of American voters haven’t gotten much play outside conservative media. Brooke Baldwin touted CNN’s coverage of Gruber’s comments (and the conservative media watchdog NewsBusters did note earlier this week that CNN devoted coverage to the controversy).

Stelter pointed out how none of the nightly newscasts on the three major networks (ABC, NBC, and CBS) have covered Gruber’s remarks, and none of those networks’ morning programs covered it either (with the exception of CBS this morning). But yes, Stelter acknowledged, Gruber’s comments have been “barely heard about” outside of the conservative media...

Pelosi Said She Doesn’t Know Who Jonathan Gruber Is Despite Previously Citing Him By Name

1:17 PM 11/13/2014 - Rep. Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that she does not know who Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber is — despite previously citing Gruber by name. “I don’t know who he is. He didn’t help write our bill,” Pelosi said at her weekly briefing with reporters. But Pelosi has previously cited Gruber’s influence on the bill. Pelosi used her Speaker of the House website in 2010 to promote “the Gruber Analysis.”

“An analysis of the House bill by noted MIT health care economist Jonathan Gruber concludes that the bill would result in lower premiums than under current law for the millions of Americans using the newly-established Health Insurance Exchange – including those who are not receiving affordability credits to help them purchase coverage,” then-Speaker Pelosi’s website wrote, frequently citing Gruber by name and linking to his analysis.

“I don’t know if you have seen Jonathan Gruber of MIT’s analysis of what the comparison is to the status quo versus what will happen in our bill for those who seek insurance within the exchange,” Pelosi told reporters in 2009. “And our bill takes down those costs, even some now, and much less preventing the upward spiral.”
