Pimp And Aspiring Rapper Arrested In The Disappearance Of 19-Year-Old University Student He Turned Into A Prostitute

In 2017, 19-year-old university student Corinna Slusser went missing from the Queens area of New York. Corrina departed from her hometown of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, where she attended university, to visit New York. While in New York she stayed at a low price motel in the Bronx that is frequented by pimps and prostitutes.

23-year-old, Ishi Woney, an aspiring rapper who, is also a pimp, met Corrina in September 2017. Ishi began pimping Corrine and offering her and another woman’s sex services in online ads. During that month Corrina made a post on Instagram which stated, “My first apartment all to myself in NYC. Forver dream accomplished.”

The next post on her Instagram page stated “Cyphin mid day mid road is always good for the soul” which was slang for smoking marijuana with others. However, the woman who appeared in the photo attached to the caption was not Corrina. In the messages posted beside the photo on Instagram.com, her friends expressed that they miss her and she is to come back home. Corrina did not respond. Previous posts she made from her hometown also reveal Corrina was a marijuana user.

Police in New York arrested her pimp Woney last month on charges of "sex trafficking by means of force, threats, fraud, and coercion" after they caught him prostituting and beating an unnamed woman (who was not Corrina). He is facing life in prison if convicted of the charges.

Authorities discovered Woney has been beating women he forced into prostitution and taking all their money, which are the proceeds from illegal prostitution and human trafficking. Corrina appears to have been one of them. However, Corrina still has not been located by police.

Additional reports online indicate Corrina was also being prostituted by a new pimp she may have been sold to, 32-year-old Yhovanny Peguero. He has prior arrests for prostituting women and engaging in drug dealing. Peguero also began beating Corrina.

In August of 2017, a copy of a restraining order was sent to the home of Corrina’s mother. Corrina applied for the order of protection after Peguero choked and beat her in a New York motel on August 25, 2018. Peguero beat her on two occasions, one of which resulted in Corrina being hospitalized with a serious neck injury.

Corrina could have listed an address in New York on the restraining order. However, she clearly feared for her life and had the legal document from the police sent to her mother’s home as a cry for help, and as evidence in the event she was not seen again, which is exactly what has happened.

Corrina’s mother contacted her by phone when she received the restraining order. Corrina responded by telling her mother, “Some guy bashed my head in and choked me.” She also told her mother that Peguero was released from jail and trying to find her. That was last year. She hasn't been seen since. Did her enraged, abusive, violent pimp kill her for having him sent to jail.

Young women need to be careful regarding what they call independence. Just because you are of age does not mean you need to try risky things. There’s nothing wrong with going to school and living with your parents. There’s nothing wrong with listening to your parents' advice. They’ve been through a lot more than you have in life.

There are good and evil people in this world. The evil ones would do awful things to you that you could not imagine if they were presented with the chance. Therefore, be careful of the company you keep. I state this all the time on this site for a reason. Something may seem fun and exciting at first, but lead to your demise.

There’s nothing wrong with having normal, down to earth friends, who are on the right side of the law. You need good people in your life, who will encourage you to do the right thing. You don't need people in your life who want to exploit you and take you down a dangerous path.

This poor young woman, Corrine, met a man who she thought would bring her financial independence and a great place to live. However, she ended up being prostituted in a dinky one bedroom flat/apartment and motels. She was also beaten to a pulp if she didn’t do exactly as she was told and give over all her money made from having sex with men she did not want. Now she’s missing.

One would assume the threat has been removed with Woney's arrestand Peguero being on police radar after his brief incarceration. However, that's clearly not the case. What would be stopping Corrina from contacting her family to at least let them know she is alive if she's okay. Something bad has happened. Is she incapacitated, being held hostage or deceased. Police continue their search.
