Police Officer Killed In Massachusetts At MIT University Campus

The U.S. State of Massachusetts has been hit with tragedy again this week. First the Boston Marathon bombings, which killed 3 and wounded 175 people. Now comes news a police officer was shot and killed at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The officer was responding to an emergency call regarding a disturbance and was gunned down by an unknown assailant. In response to the shooting the university stated, "Shooter remains at large, police continue to search the campus."
