Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Since Prince Harry (the Duke of Sussex) married actress, Meghan Markle (who is now the Duchess of Sussex) he has experienced a shift in priorities. The couple have started their own family, welcoming baby Archie this year. However, throughout the year there have been stories in the press stating Prince Harry and his brother Prince William (the Duke of Cambridge) have gone their separate ways regarding royal work and social endeavors.

It became apparent when Prince Harry and Meghan left the charity organization they shared with Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge (Prince William And Prince Harry Split Charity Foundation Due To Disagreement Between Their Wives Meghan Markle And Kate Middleton). Meghan is very outspoken, especially about women's issues, whereas Kate does not like to ruffle feathers, opting to champion items such as gardening.

Further indicating the rift, Harry and Meghan moved out of London's Kensington Palace, where they had lived with their mother, the late Princess Diana, before she was killed in a tragic automobile accident (Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Have Unfollowed Prince William And Kate Middleton On Instagram).

In a new documentary released this past Sunday, Prince Harry confirmed the rumors. Harry stated, "It has been a year of big change, with all the complications that brings. Part of this role and part of this job and this family being under the pressure that it’s under ­inevitably, you know, stuff happens. But look, we’re brothers. We’ll always be brothers."

He also stated, "We’re certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him and as I know he’ll always be there for me. You know, we don’t see each other as much as we, as much as we used to because we’re so busy. But, I love him dearly and, you know, the majority of the stuff is created out of nothing. Just as I said, as brothers, you know, you have good days, you have bad days."

If their mother were alive she would want them to remain close. She would not want them to fight. Her life was cut tragically short and she did not get to spend the amount of time with them that she would have liked. They are still here, yet are not spending time together as they used to do, which they will regret one day.

Diana would also want them to be faithful to their wives, recalling the heartbreak she went through in her marriage to their father, Prince Charles, who was unfaithful. Diana would also want her sons to not get caught up in the trappings of fame and wealth, as some members of the royal family have done. Life isn't about a steady procession of big banquets/galas and people waiting on you hand and foot. It is about helping the poor and sick out of what you have in life.

Diana tried her best to raise them to be normal, down to earth human beings. It was a wise choice. So whatever rift they have, they need to discontinue it, as it is not what their mother would want and it would hurt her to know it has come to this. End the rift.

The Duke of Sussex, 35, opened up to ITV News anchor Tom Bradby in the film Harry and Meghan: An African ­Adventure, which aired at 9pm. Bradby said: “It has been a year of big change, with all the complications that brings. "This includes the decision to split his office off from that of his brother, to whom he has always been close.”

The news presenter then asked about the truth to ­speculation of a rift. Harry said: “Part of this role and part of this job and this family being under the pressure that it’s under ­inevitably, you know, stuff happens. “But look, we’re brothers. We’ll always be brothers. We’re certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him and as I know he’ll always be there for me.
