Sarah Palin Accuses Obama Of Being Terrorist Ally

October 6. 2008

Sarah Palin (Republican)

The closer the nation gets to election day on November 4, 2008, is the uglier the barbs in the U.S. presidential race become.

Republican vice presidential running mate, Sarah Palin, has accused Democratic presidential nominee, Barack Obama, of “Palling around with terrorists” due to his recent friendship with 1960’s radical Bill Ayers.

Barack Obama (Democrat)

The McCain/Palin ticket is trying to make voters associate Obama with being Muslim and a terrorist sympathizer. When most people hear the word “terrorist” in this day and age, they immediately think of Al Qaeda. Therefore, this tactic will probably work with some.

However, one should note, Bill Ayers, has been referred to as a domestic terrorist, not a Middle Eastern one, as in Al Qaeda.

John McCain (Republican)

While, Palin attacks Obama's patriotism, McCain is questioning his voting record, accusing him of not really accomplishing anything in Congress.

Palin says Obama 'palling around' with terrorists

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday accused Democrat Barack Obama of "palling around with terrorists" because of his association with a former 1960s radical, stepping up the campaign's effort to portray Obama as unacceptable to American voters.

Palin's reference was to Bill Ayers, one of the founders of the group the Weather Underground. Its members took credit for bombings, including nonfatal explosions at the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol, during the tumultuous Vietnam War era four decades ago. Obama, who was a child when the group was active, served on a charity board with Ayers several years ago and has denounced his radical views and activities.
