The British Police Arrest 1,800 Violent Criminals In Crime Crackdown

November 13. 2018

Cressida Dick

The British police has been addressing the knife crime problem that has been gripping the nation, due to Prime Minister Theresa May‘s unwise budget cuts and laying off 8,000 officers. I still can’t believe she put that many officers out of work. What was she thinking. A new report this week stated Scotland Yard chief Cressida Dick has been “relentlessly” targeting the 190 gangs in London, who are responsible for the crime wave. Police have arrested 1,800 violent criminals. This is a step in the right direction.

The legislature needs to do its part in tightening legislation to ensure violent criminals receive sufficient sentences. Criminals should not quickly end up right back on the streets to create more problems for the public and police, whose budget and resources have been unreasonably decimated and stretched by May’s harmful brand of austerity. Britain I love you but your prison sentences are too short. People get very little time behind bars for murder, acid attacks and hate preaching (Anjem Choudary). Parliament needs to address it by lengthening prison sentences for certain offenses. It will save lives and taxpayer money.

Cressida Dick adopting a more aggressive approach to battling crime can only help the people of Britain. Though some are not in favor of it, I am of the belief “stop and search” needs to be a permanent feature in London. Some have branded it racist, but I disagree. It is a proven crime deterrent and one that has caught criminals with illegal weapons. “Stop and search” is also used in the Caribbean, which is predominantly comprised of people of color. You’re going to have to make some concessions for safety.

No matter what part of the world you live in you cannot give criminals free reign. They cannot be allowed to believe and behave like they own the streets and can do whatever they wish to innocent people. They must be brought to justice and taken off the streets.

In writing this site, I read so many articles on a regular basis about crime all around the world and it breaks my heart to see the words of bereaved parents mourning the loss of their offspring, especially when the deceased is a underage. The parents are heartbroken, devastated, confused and confounded at the death of their children. No one should ever have to bury their child. It is a terrible thing to happen to a human being. However, it is a sad reality of this world we live in.

As such we must do everything to save these children. They are being targeted and killed by gang members for sport and bragging rights. The public must work with law enforcement. Even if it means a bit of offense at “stop and search.” Just stay calm, cooperate and let them search you, then be on your way.

Even if it means doing your civic duty and anonymously reporting criminals to the police (stop listening to foolish people telling you not to be a snitch, when you could be saving the life of a kid in aiding to get a dangerous criminal off the streets). Even if it means police rounding up criminals and putting them in jail, it is worth the effort. We must protect the children. They are very vulnerable. They are also the future of society.

Met Police chief Cressida Dick declares war on 190 gangs behind violence in London

1 day ago - Scotland Yard chief Cressida Dick today defended the Met’s tactics in tackling knife crime in London as she pledged to “relentlessly” target 190 gangs fuelling the violent crimewave. Writing in the Standard after five killings in six days, she said her officers had increased the use of stop and search, taken thousands of knives off the streets and were acting on intelligence to prevent attacks.

Her comments came after Home Secretary Sajid Javid urged Scotland Yard to “step up the police response”, including stop and search, to end the bloodshed. Mr Javid interrupted a visit to the United States to call the Met Commissioner, pictured, for an update on the recent series of knife deaths. His intervention increases pressure on her and London Mayor Sadiq Khan to stem the tide of violence...

In a heartfelt piece she said her officers were working tirelessly — day and night — to prevent attacks and bring to justice the people of violence. She said: “The causes of the rise in violence are complex, and so are the solutions but each and every one of my officers and staff, whether they are a firearms officer, a neighbourhood officer or a call handler, know violence is our number one priority and have this at the forefront of their minds whatever they are doing.

“They take this personally and are determined to arrest the people that blight our communities, often working bravely in dangerous situations.” She said the new Violent Crime Task Force had arrested more than 1,800 “violent, weapon-carrying people” since it was launched seven months ago.
