Tips For Saving Money During The U.S. Economic Crisis

October 22. 2008

New York Stock Exchange

1. Make your breakfast and lunch at home and carry it with you, instead of buying them on the street each day for $7-10 dollars. That adds up.

2. Dollar menus - restaurants like McDonalds have them.

3. Stop eating out so much.

4. Use coupons at the supermarket. You could shave several dollars off your bill each week in this manner.

5. Rent movies on DVD and VHS for free from your local public library.

6. Shop at stores such as Wal-Mart, where you can save 20%-60% on many items. Once again, the savings add up.

7. Shop at thrift stores. You'd be surprised at what you find in them. Everything from clothes to furniture and some stores are filled with items donated from estate sales.
