"W" = Wack

From "Wall Street" To "W"?

August 6. 2008

I recently saw a clip from Oliver Stone's forthcoming film "W" about president George W. Bush and it was bad. Turns out I'm not the only one that thinks so, as numerous sites held negative reviews of it.

George Bush looking clueless

While Stone has had hits with successful films like the hard hitting "Wall Street" this "W" film is definitely a miss.

Oliver Stone

The casting was not right, particularly that of Bush and Condoleezza Rice. It's just ill fitting and the nuances are all wrong. His characterization of George Bush sr. seems off as well.

Thandie Newton as Condoleezza Rice

The story line appears to be weak and not one that makes you want to keep watching. The acting was also poor and overdone.

Condoleezza Rice

They got Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, so wrong. Condoleezza has a smile that belies a look of "I'm about to politely break a diplomat's neck." However, she looks all whiney and wimpy in the movie preview.
