Wesley Snipes Gets 3 Years In Prison "Judge Dread" Indeed April 24. 2008
"Demolition Man" star Wesley Snipes faced a judge dread of his own today that sentenced him to 3 years in prison for tax evasion. His tax preparer has been sentenced to prison as well.
Snipes Gets Maximum Sentence: 36 Months Asked For 'Mercy,' Received Deterrence Wesley Snipes was sentenced to 36 months in prison Thursday, the maximum sentence allowed... However, the judge indicated that deterrent was an important factor in tax cases. "There's nothing unusual about prosecuting a celebrity," Judge William Hodges said. "[Snipes] never mentioned the words tax or taxes in his apology." |
