Woman Sentenced To Prison For Killing Her Rapist Who Threatened To Rape Her Daughter As Well

35-year-old Roxanne Eka Peters stabbed 51-year old Grant Cassar with a kitchen knife, after he raped her and demanded more sex or he would go after her daughter as well. Peters stabbed him in the heart and penis, then dragged Cassar behind her car. She then dumped his lifeless body in a ditch. The case occurred in Queensland, Australia.

Peters was arrested on charges of manslaughter and interfering with a corpse. She will be eligible for parole in a year-and-a-half (due to time served since 2016). She should have qualified for probation and intensive counseling, as it is clear she suffered momentary insanity, due to the horrible, abusive situation Cassar placed her in. She got into a rage due to PTSD stemming from the rape and additional threats of the same against her daughter.

Poor lady. It sounds like she snapped. Bad enough she was raped, but to hear the rapist threaten to rape her child as well must have sent her over the edge. I don’t agree with murder, but it is very obvious what destroyed this poor lady’s mental health. People need to not push others over the edge with threats, provocations and the violation of their body. Cassar did it to the wrong one and ended up dead.
