Boris Johnson Makes A U-Turn Acknowledging The U.K. Strain Of The Coronavirus Is More Virulent And Deadly Confirming Previous Site Claims

Last month, Britain's Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, stated the newly discovered U.K. strain of the coronavirus was not more transmissible or deadlier. However, over the past few days, Johnson made a u-turn, acknowledging what his scientists have just discovered regarding the mutated, U.K. strain of the coronavirus being more transmissible and deadly.

On Friday, January 22, 2021, Prime Minister Johnson stated during a televised press conference, "We’ve been informed today that in addition to spreading more quickly, it also now appears that there is some evidence that the new variant — the variant that was first discovered in London and the southeast (of England) — may be associated with a higher degree of mortality."

This confirms what I previously stated on this site and on the social networking website Twitter.com in time stamped items in December 2020. British and European blood can mutate viruses and make them more virulent. The South African mutation of the coronavirus is also highly transmissible and deadly. South Africa is a former British colony and a number of South Africans are of British descent.

None of this is meant as an insult. I am of English descent. I'm looking at it from an unbiased scientific perspective and studying the implications of these mutations as it relates to disease, including the coronavirus. When creating pharmaceutical drugs, scientists should always consider possible mutations and prepare for them. Try to stay one step ahead of the disease.

PUBLISHED FRI, JAN 22 202112:11 PM - The evidence is still at a preliminary stage and is being assessed by the New and Emerging Respiratory Virus Threats Advisory Group, which advises the British government. The variant, discovered in the U.K. and known as B.1.1.7, has an unusually high number of mutations and is associated with more efficient and rapid transmission.

There is “some evidence” a new Covid variant first identified in the U.K. could be more deadly than the original strain, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Friday. “We’ve been informed today that in addition to spreading more quickly, it also now appears that there is some evidence that the new variant — the variant that was first discovered in London and the southeast (of England) — may be associated with a higher degree of mortality,” Johnson told a news conference.

He added that all the evidence suggests the vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech and AstraZeneca-Oxford University, the two currently being used in the U.K., remain effective against both the old and new variants of the virus.
