Christina Aguilera Ripping Off Lady GaGa

November 13. 2008

Pictured above is Christina Aguilera. Why put makeup on your hair?!

Last week, I saw a Christina Aguilera commercial on TV and said to my mom regarding the singer's new image, "Where have I seen that before?" Turns out I had...on MySpace.

A new artist named Lady Gaga was all over MySpace a few months ago and now Sony artist Christina Aguilera has blatantly ripped off the newcomer, stealing her various looks, dance routines and music style. Aguilera is even incriminatingly mimicking Lady Gaga's previous press quotes. That looks weird.

Recently, when a slew of websites began slamming Aguilera for the unoriginality, she threw a temper tantrum in the Los Angeles Times, pretending she didn't know who Lady Gaga is. If you say so.

She employed the standard, arrogant industry line, audiences know as a dead giveaway regarding lying, in referring to Lady Gaga as, "This person." As a result, Aguilera is being slammed on many websites and labeled a liar.

Look, Christina cannot be asked to remember who she ripped off while she was high.

Note to Christina: maybe if you'd leave that Colombian nose candy alone, you would actually come up with something original, instead of ripping off new artists, then insulting everyone's intelligence, claiming ignorance. Millions of people know who she is. You're not fooling anyone. Google it.

While, I'm not a fan of Lady Gaga's salacious style, she rocks it a million times better than you. Maybe you ought to leave it alone before you embarrass yourself anymore than you already have.

It's amazing how haughty you're being, when at the time of your debut ten years ago, you were practically stalking Mariah Carey in person, look and sound, who was quoted as saying, "Keep her away from me."

"You know, that’s funny that you mention that. This person [Lady Gaga] was just brought to my attention not too long ago. I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don’t know if it is a man or a woman. I just wasn’t sure. I really don’t spend any time on the Internet, so I guess I live a little under a rock in that respect."
