According to the Media Take Out website, Fantasia has bribed a judge in North Carolina, into dismissing a case, regarding Paula Cook and her estranged husband, Antaun Cook, who the American Idol singer has been having an affair with in a disgraceful manner.

Fantasia pursued Cook after meeting him at a mobile phone store. She slept with Cook within days of meeting, even though she knew he is married. Fantasia became pregnant and aborted his baby. When Cook reconciled with his wife, who is the mother of his two young children, Fantasia constantly called Cook's home like a stalker, attempting to break up his marriage.

The singer was mentioned in a divorce pleading filed by Paula Cook's attorney, but the case has mysteriously been dismissed by a judge, who was represented by Fantasia's lawyer in his own divorce. This represented a conflict of interest, which the judge should have recused himself for, rather than corruptly sit in on the case.
