Kanye West Received 60,000 Votes In U.S. Presidential Election Ticking Off Social Networking

November 4. 2020

Kanye West sad he lost the election

People on social networking have humorously been making comments about rapper Kanye West and his bid to become President of the United States of America. People were stunned to find out Kanye garnered 60,000 votes in the election and despite the fact he was on the ballot on only a few states in America. West ran under the "Birthday Party" (LOL).

Kanye didn't win any states in America (LOL)

I knew Kanye would get a number of votes and wrote about it. However, not long after, Democrats in Congress began an effort to have Kanye blocked from getting on ballots across America, as it would (and ultimately did) strip votes away from Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. This curtailed the number of votes Kanye received (though 60,000 is still a lot of votes).

News channels refused to even dig out a Kanye picture for their telecasts (LOL)

People have jokingly been threatening to find and beat up all the people who voted for Kanye. Others want said people banished from their states. The banter on Kanye's impressive 60,000 votes was a welcome bit of comic relief during the heavily contested election that has left Americans anxiety ridden and frustrated.

WELP: Guess How Many People Kanye Got to Vote for ‘President Kanye’

Nov. 4, 2020 - Amid all the confusion and chaos of this postelection morning comes a few developments from the decidedly dead Kanye 2020 campaign. West, running as an Independent, tallied around 60,000 votes across the 12 states in which he actually appeared on the ballot, with his highest count in Tennessee (???), where he got 10,188 votes and 0.3 percent of the total vote.

He achieved his highest percentage of the vote, 0.4 percent, in three states, Idaho (3,631 votes), Utah (4,344 votes), and Oklahoma (5,590 votes), and failed to reach over 0.4 percent of the vote in any state. West appears to have admitted defeat late Tuesday night by tweeting an evocative “WELP.” He sadly later deleted this tweet, and reposted it with “KANYE 2024,” but the sentiment prevails...
