Mariah Carey Slammed By Fellow Singer Chaka Khan As A Fraud Whose So-Called Career Successes Are Based On Payola And Chart Rigging

March 31. 2023

Chaka Khan

Legendary singer, Chaka Khan, took a swipe at fellow vocalist, Mariah Carey. Khan did an interview with Rolling Stone magazine and the publication revealed, "Nevertheless, Khan was curious to hear who else appeared in the top 200. Some of Rolling Stone’s decisions struck her as apt, like granting Aretha Franklin the top spot (“As she f*****g should be”) and including Joan Baez on the bubble, at #189 (“let’s be honest, the b***h cannot sing. Now, she was a good writer.”) In granting Mariah Carey the #5 spot, however, Khan suspects the kind of industry chicanery that has long dogged the singer (“That must be payola or some s**t like that.”).

Khan is correct. Carey, was married to Columbia records/Sony Music CEO, Tommy Mottola, who has ties to the Italian mafia and bragged about it in Vanity Fair magazine, much to the horror of civilized people. Mottola engaged in chart rigging and payola to get his mistress-turned-wife, Carey, the Billboard and separately, Guinness World Book record, for the most number one songs by a recording artist. The two adulterers also engaged in huge amounts of illegal payola to get her music played every hour on pop music stations across America. The more a song is played is the higher it places on the music charts. Air play numbers contributed to chart placement.

Mariah Carey and Tommy Mottola

Mottola also shipped out tons of Carey's CDs, cassettes and records (vinyl), many of which sat there on shelves and went unsold. However, all you needed to do was ship out the CDs, cassettes and records (as it is supposed to be based on demand not a sales scam) and you can apply for and receive the RIAA certification for gold (500,000 sold), platinum (1 million sold) and or diamond (10 million sold) certifications. This is why for nearly two decades when you went to a record store there were a couple copies of all artists music on the shelves under their respective names, but nearly a dozen of each of Carey's releases cluttering the shelves on a daily basis.

Therefore, the whole thing was rigged, all due to Carey having sex with Mottola, a married man twice her age, who had small children with a wife who was distraught and fought to keep him. Tina Mottola would not grant him a divorce, even in the face of all his cheating. Mottola then went to the Dominican Republic and got a no contest divorce against her wishes. Then, Mottola married Carey, who went on to embarrass him, just like he had embarrassed his ex-wife Tina via cheating with a younger person.

Mariah Carey and Derek Jeter

Carey did not love Mottola. He did not love her either. Mottola was showing off a then young woman on his arm, who was rising on the music charts, thanks to their fraud. It was his ego. Carey, who was very poor, married Mottola for money and his music industry connections that could make her a star.

Carey's true love was baseball player, Derek Jeter, whom she met right after Mottola made her famous, and proceeded to cheat with the young, good looking athlete during her marriage to Mottola. Carey enraged Mottola with this cheating (well, when you cheat with someone don't think they won't cheat on you). Carey nearly got Jeter killed due to Mottola's violent, murderous mafia ties. The mafia was also laundering money through Columbia Records/Sony Music.

Mottola also used Carey's career to extract huge sums of money from Columbia Records/Sony Music. In the end, Carey complained she left the marriage with far less than what Mottola extracted from Columbia Records/Sony Music using and misusing her career. She stated she left over$125,000,000 behind that she was due from her (falsified) sales.

Carey's career to a large extent was fraudulent. Yes, she could sing (then her voice later left her due to overuse of the whistle register) but Carey's chart placements and sales were a complete sham. Yes, she had popular tunes and music videos, and did sell some records, but nowhere near the astronomical numbers she and Mottola publicly claimed, and not to the extent they (fraudulently) charted. They put out a lot of the fake sales numbers that have never been backed up by taxes returns or industry tabulation figures from Soundscan or any international company in said field.

Not to mention all the copyright infringement Carey committed throughout her career. Carey has been stealing songs for over 30-years. In the 1990s, Carey infamously stole the song "Emotions" from the 1970s preexisting R&B group, the Emotions, who had a hit with the song "The Best Of My Love." The song "The Best Of My Love" was a big R&B hit written by select members of the legendary bandk Earth, Wind and Fire. Carey stole music, lyrics, vocal arrangements and melodies from "The Best Of My Love" to make "Emotions." Then Carey and Mottola used payola and chart rigging to get the copyright infringing song to number one on the charts.

Listen to "The Best Of My Love" and "Emotions" back to back and you will hear the infringements. Mottola quickly settled the case with Earth, Wind and Fire case over Carey's brazen theft of their music. If she can steal from well-known Earth, Wind and Fire, she will steal from anyone, especially unknown and lesser known writers and producers, where she believes she can get away with it. Carey also stole the songs "All I Want For Christmas" "Hero" "Can't Let Go" "Always be My Baby" and "Don't Stop (Funkin' 4 Jamaica)" among others, from several writers and producers in separate incidents. Carey likes to go on the internet and steal preexisting songs she sees on websites.

The fact of the matter is singer Whitney House is legitimately the female artists with the most number one songs and albums (individually and combined). Michael Jackson is the male artist with the most number one songs and albums (individually and combined).

The best selling female recording artist is Whitney Houston, with Patti Page running a close second. The best selling male recording artist is Michael Jackson, with Elvis Presley running second. The best selling recording artist is Michael Jackson. The best selling music group is the Beatles.

Carey and ex-husband Mottola committed massive fraud, engaging in payola and chart rigging, which has tainted the music history records. However, I am of the belief in the future it will be corrected on a government level and certain entries removed/deleted for fraud and or theft, as they are without merit.

(Exclusive) Chaka Khan Revives Mary J. Blige Feud, Dunks on Adele and Mariah Carey

March 1, 2023 - It’s a banner year for the so-called Queen of Funk, Chaka Khan, as 2023 marks 50 years in the music business, and on March 23, she’ll celebrate her 70th birthday. Ahead of that, she had some words for the editors at Rolling Stone regarding one Mary J. Blige.

On New Year’s Day, in what seemed an early birthday gift for the “I’m Every Woman” singer, Rolling Stone awarded Khan a high perch on its “The 200 Greatest Singers of All Time” list, putting her at #29—a great neighborhood, it would seem, with David Bowie three positions behind and Paul McCartney just three ahead and Khan leaving such icons as Diana Ross (#87), Janice Joplin (#78), Tina Turner (#55) and Mick Jagger (#52) in the dust. This is not to mention Celine Dion, whose snub caused the Canadian chanteuse’s fans to take to the streets and picket the magazine’s Manhattan offices...
