Model And The Mother Of Diddy's Children Kim Porter Found Dead From A Heart Attack

November 16. 2018

Kim Porter

Sad news to report. 46-year-old model, actress and mother of four, Kim Porter, was found dead in her Los Angeles home from an apparent heart attack. Paramedics were called to the property, as she was found unresponsive. Porter is the ex-girlfriend of rapper/music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Porter’s eldest son is actor/singer Quincy Brown, 27, whom she had with her ex-husband, singer/songwriter/producer Al. B. Sure (real name Albert Brown). Many including myself were unaware Porter was married to Sure from 1989-1990. However, Google's bio section states the two were married. Porter’s second oldest son is Christian Combs, 20, who is the spitting image of his dad Diddy. She gave birth to her youngest children, 11-year-old twins Jesse and D’Lila, in 2006. They too were fathered by Diddy.

In the 1990s, Porter modeled for a number of brands. She also made appearances in music videos, such as Jodeci’s “Feenin” and Al B. Sure’s “Misunderstanding.” Porter was the inspiration for the Jodeci hit “Forever My Lady” which was co-written by Sure when he found out she was pregnant with their son Quincy.

Porter’s family stated she was suffering from pneumonia. They also stated that the day prior to her death, Porter complained to her doctor that she was not getting better. She was found dead yesterday morning in her bed. Los Angeles Police Department homicide detectives were dispatched to the house in Toluca Lake to investigate if there was any foul play.

The coroner’s office will do an autopsy and order toxicology tests to determine what, if any substances, such as prescription meds or narcotics, played a role in Porter's death. On average toxicology reports take 6-weeks to be completed. Police found no illegal drugs at Porter's home.

The late, great R&B singer/songwriter, Gerald Levert, died from a prescription drug overdose when he was sick. He was suffering from pneumonia and took too much flu medicine, which interacted badly with the anti-anxiety medication in his system. Sometimes when people are sick the congestion, coughing and runny nose becomes difficult to deal with and they wrongly think if they take more medication than recommended by the manufacturer, it will help the flu go away faster. However, it is dangerous, as it can lead to respiratory failure and heart attack.
