Reality Star Contracts HIV From Stripper In Las Vegas

There’s a phrase that goes “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” However, there are things that happen that can follow you for the rest of your life. Case in point, "Big Brother" reality star, Dick Donato, also known as "Evel Dick" stated he had sex with a stripper in Las Vegas. Not long after he discovered he was HIV positive.

Donato recently made an appearance on the reality show "Couple's Therapy" and revealed producers of "Big Brother" had pulled him aside in 2011 and informed him of the HIV diagnosis, after blood tests came back for the entire cast. He stated, "This was the most shocking news I've ever been told. I needed time to digest...when they told me I just went numb." 

The diagnosis has been very difficult for Donato to handle, as it would be for anyone in that situation. Donato stated, the most difficult conversation he's ever had in his life, was telling the news of his medical status to his girlfriend and mother.

A number of reality stars are HIV positive, such as "Uncle Poole" from "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" as well as several stars from the programs "Project Runway" and "Rupaul's Drag Race."
