Reports online indicate the girl group Fifth Harmony is having money problems. Fans of the music group are blaming disgraced music executive, L.A. Reid, who was fired from Epic Records/Sony Music, the label the Fifth Harmony records for in an ongoing deal. Reid was fired for sexual misconduct and embezzlement.

Reid was famously involved in the bankruptcy of 1990s girl group TLC, who were signed to the label he co-founded, LaFace Records. Fans of Fifth Harmony are invoking TLC's former financial woes in blaming Reid for the current money issues of the quintet, who are struggling under break-up rumors and after the departure of Camilla Cabello. There are claims in the industry that married Reid engaged in sexually inappropriate conduct with Cabello, in exchange for the furtherance of her solo career.

Fifth Harmony recently cancelled their Australian tour, as things are not well with them. There have also been arguments behind the scenes that have filtered out into the industry. The group was another money making scheme for chronic copyright infringer and sexual harasser, Simon Cowell. Reid was also in on the deal to help his bank account and prop up his job at Epic. However, Fifth Harmony have failed to match the financial success of TLC for the labels.
