The political party of Italy's Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, 74, took a beating in the local elections, losing a significant number of mayoral seats. Many will blame the trouncing on Berlusconi's ongoing sex scandal, which resulted in criminal charges against him, for teenage prostitution. 

Wiretap evidence and bank records, have been used by prosecutors to indict the randy head of state, whose own ex-wife divorced him over his preoccupation with minors. Italy's economy is suffering under the current global downturn and Berlusconi's inability to focus on and turn around the nation's bottom line, in favor of staring at and groping young women's bottoms, has gotten him into trouble at the polls.
