He previously did so with the "Confessions" album, regarding his relationship with TLC singer, Rhozanda "Chilli" Thomas, which infuriated her. Thomas was the former mistress of his married boss, L.A. Reid. Usher bought his house and his one time mistress. Paging Dr. Freud.

Usher has two children with Tameka Foster Raymond, who cheated on and left her husband to be with the R&B singer, in a marriage that collapsed within a year, taking his music career with it. He hopes to regain his audience with the newly released track "Papers" in which he sings of divorcing his wife and almost losing his mother, Jonetta Patton, who in real life, vehemently opposed the ill-fated union with Foster, a currently scheming ex-convict.
