Former LaFace Records CEO L.A. Reid Is Sexually Pursuing His Recording Artists Again With New Hitco Venture (Dinah Jane And Bonfyre)

Previously on the site, I revealed that former LaFace Records CEO, L.A. Reid, used to cheat on his wife, singer Perri “Pebbles” Reid in the 1990s with women in Atlanta, including TLC singer Rozanda “Chili“ Thomas (The TV Movie "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story" Left Out A Lot Of Things). It was a betrayal of his wife by Reid and by Thomas, whom Pebbles included in her music group at his insistence.

Fast forward several years after my article and Reid was fired from Epic/Sony Music for sexually harassing his secretary, which resulted in a lawsuit against the company by the exasperated assistant, who grew tired of his sexual advances and unwanted touching and hugging. Reid took her on a business trip then kept demanding she get in bed with him and hug him (which would undoubtedly lead to more).

Then news broke that Reid sexually harassed many 18-year-old interns at Def Jam Recordings, before taking the job at Epic/Sony Music. T-Boz Of TLC also confirmed Reid's inappropriate behavior. You would think after all of the public humiliation Reid would behave in a more appropriate manner. Not so.

Reid formed the new Hitco music company in a $75,000,000 venture with long time music industry executive, Charles Goldstruck. I just got word that married Reid has been romantically pursuing new Hitco signings Dinah Jane and Bonfyre. I was told something is going on between Reid and Dinah. Previously, Reid pursued Dinah’s former Fifth Harmony group member, Camilla Cabello. Oh, what these girls are having to do for fame.

Fifth Harmony did not sell well. They sold a fair amount of singles, but their albums flopped in the sales department. Ironically, Reid is promising Dinah she will be the next Mariah Carey but that’s not gonna happen. The music coming out from all of Hitco’s artists are not hits. I’ve heard clips of their tracks on Instagram and not a hit in the bunch. Much of it is explicit and poorly composed. None of the tracks stand out.

Many of the songs have been out for months and no traction. It’s nothing like the days of LaFace when good music came out of the record label. Reid has fallen and in more ways than one. To raise $75,000,000 and spend it on that is a financial problem in the making, as stated previously on the site.
