Michael Jackson's Unreleased Songs Criminally Hacked And Illegally Downloaded

March 6. 2012

Michael Jackson

Sony Music got a terrible taste of its own medicine, as hackers broke into their systems again and stole all of the late Michael Jackson's unreleased copyrighted music, worth a substantial amount of money. Hey, Sony and Warner Bros put this type of criminal behavior on the map and it was only a matter of time before someone turned the tables on them with their own hacking tactics. What comes around goes around.

The two hackers were arrested by police in Britain and have been released on bail pending trial. Sony is in a serious predicament, because the hackers may have passed the files on to others, who are waiting to illegally release them onto the internet.

A potential $200,000,000 in unreleased music is up for grabs and could be completely devalued with a few keystroke, uploading them for free to anyone who wants it. While I'm sorry for Jackson's mother regarding what has happened, I have absolutely no sympathy for Sony.
