R&B singer Usher, 37, and his wife, Gracie Miguel, 50, are going through a difficult separation. Usher was hit with a scandal last year, regarding allegations and lawsuits stating he infected women and men with genital herpes. Usher settled one of the lawsuits for $1,100,000. The scandal made him the talk of social networking, but in a bad way, placing a strain on his latest 2-year marriage.

What many people do not know is Usher and Miguel have an open marriage. Usher also has a mommy complex (Oedipus Complex). He repeatedly dates women who are a decade older than he is and has done so for 20-years. Usher's first wife Tameka Foster was 10-years his senior. Usher tried to have an open marriage with Foster, who is extremely jealous and would not play along. The marriage turned violent when Foster began physical attacking him and destroying his belongings over the chronic cheating. Miguel went along with the open marriage, but it backfired.

There's nothing wrong with dating a person that is older than you are, but Usher has some deep rooted mommy issues that is damaging his relationships, which on average last a couple years. Lastly, open marriage is a terrible idea. The concept has ruined lives. It is a selfish destruction of the marriage vow and one that is prone to disaster and heartbreak.
